The Lighthouse is a newly founded Non-Profit Organisation (NPO) established through the vision of Mr. Bryant Van Der Merwe in partnership with City Hill Church. Located in the serene setting of Hillcrest, our facilities include a 6-bedroom, 4-bathroom house and a 2-bedroom, 1-bathroom unit, purchased to serve as a temporary home for women in crisis. As a registered NPO, we are driven by a desire to expand, with plans to build additional units on the property to provide a haven for the growing number of women in need across KwaZulu-Natal.

Every woman who enters The Lighthouse is treated as a unique individual. We address personal challenges with empathy, understanding, and biblical principles, aiming to empower women socially, economically, financially, and psychologically. Our community fosters resilience, independence, and hope, guiding women toward a confident and restored future.

The vision of The Lighthouse is to provide a temporary, secure home environment for women in crisis, with the goal of restoring self-worth and confidence. We aim to enable women to become fully functioning members of their community, offering a peaceful and faith-filled space where healing and new beginnings are possible.

Our mission is to empower women to reclaim their sense of self-worth and confidence through the Word of God and biblical principles. More than just a safe space, The Lighthouse is a stepping stone toward independence, offering practical assistance and a supportive community to help women rebuild their lives.
