Our Work
At The Lighthouse, we are committed to empowering women to overcome crisis and reclaim their independence after escaping abusive relationships or navigating difficult divorces. Our work centers on providing a safe, supportive, and faith-based environment where women can heal, grow, and thrive.
What We Do
- A Safe Haven: We offer a warm, temporary home for six months in our Hillcrest facilities—a 6-bedroom house and a 2-bedroom unit—providing a peaceful and secure space where women and their children can feel protected and cared for.
- Empowering Independence: Our team works closely with each woman to develop personalized plans for securing employment, fostering financial stability, and building confidence through education, tools, and resources.
- Finding a New Home: We provide practical guidance and resources to help women find safe, stable, and long-term accommodation for themselves and their families.
- Community and Support: Rooted in Christian values, our community teaches biblical truths, encourages community living, and fosters valuable life skills, helping women rediscover their strength and sense of belonging.
- Holistic Care: From emotional healing to practical life skills, we address the whole person with empathy and respect, ensuring women leave The Lighthouse equipped for a brighter future.

Our Impact
Every woman who steps into The Lighthouse is met with compassion, respect and individualized care. Our goal is to be a transformative stepping stone, helping women move from crisis to confidence, from uncertainty to independence. By instilling resilience, courage, and trust, we create lasting change, one life at a time.
